Instrument Overview

Experimental principle is magnetic coupling resonance (MCR) . The transmission efficiency is much better than inductive magnetic field coupling transmission. It is also not affected by the spatial non-magnetic obstacles.

By changing the coil size , quantity, or frequency of resonance, the transmission efficiency can be changed correspondingly. Since the MCR technology converts electrical energy into electromagnetic field energy so it is also a research direction to study the transmission characteristics of electromagnetic energy in different mediato improve the efficiency of wireless energy transmission.

The experiment helps the students to deeply understand the knowledge of electromagnetic field.

Principle of Experiment

Experiment of Energy Transmission Characteristics in the Electromagnetic Field or "wireless power transmission", refers to the conversion of electrical energy into other forms of relay energy (such as electromagnetic field energy, laser, microwave, and mechanical waves, etc.) by a transmitter. After transmitting a certain distance from space, the relay energy is converted into electrical energy through the receiver.Experimental principle is magnetic coupling resonance (MCR ). What produces the MCR is a couple of self resonating coils, which depends on its internal distributed inductance and capacitance. Using a power supply provides a high-frequency current to the transmitting coil, then this coil produces a magnetic field energy, and then the receiving coil receive this energy and produces a current. At last, the fan and the LED works with the current. Changing the coil distance, relative angle of the coil, load resistance and transmission medium can affect the transmission efficiency .

Compact design and each module can be detachable, which is very suitable for training students' hands-on skills

The resonant coil can be rotated at ±90 degrees

Different transmission effects under different settings can be directly showed by the fan and LED

Typical experiments and datum

1. Relationship between the coils distance and coupling coefficient K

3. Relationship between coil angle and transmission efficiency

4. Relationship between frequency and transmission efficiency in different medias
